Connect an AI tool
Use Radical Tempo from Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, VS Code, and other AI tools through its MCP server.
Radical Tempo's MCP server lets an AI tool you already use work with your brands: find a video, read its transcript and chapters, make clips, draft and schedule posts, and explain how a post performed.
Server URL
The server URL is https://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcp. You sign in with your
Radical Tempo account through OAuth — the tool opens a sign-in window the first
time it connects. There is no API key.
https://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcpThe tool reference lists every action a connected tool can take.
Set up your tool
Pick your tool below. Each one takes the same server URL, and each one asks you to sign in the first time it connects.
Claude
Custom connectors work on claude.ai and in Claude Desktop.
On a Pro or Max plan, add the connector yourself:
- Open Customize > Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it
Radical Tempoand enterhttps://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcp. - Keep the sign-in settings Claude detects and click Add.
- Sign in with your Radical Tempo account when Claude asks.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds the connector for the organization:
- Open Organization settings > Connectors and click Add.
- Hover over Custom, select Web, name it
Radical Tempo, and enterhttps://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcp. - Click Add.
Each member then opens Customize > Connectors, finds Radical Tempo, and clicks Connect to sign in.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http radical-tempo https://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcpThen run /mcp inside a session and sign in.
ChatGPT
Radical Tempo is coming to the ChatGPT app directory. Until it is listed, add it through developer mode:
- Open Settings > Apps (named Connectors in some versions), then Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode.
- Click Create, name it
Radical Tempo, enterhttps://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcp, and choose OAuth for authentication. - Click Create and sign in with your Radical Tempo account.
- In a new chat, pick Radical Tempo from the tools menu to use it.
Codex
codex mcp add radical-tempo --url https://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcp
codex mcp login radical-tempoGemini CLI
gemini mcp add --scope user --transport http radical-tempo https://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcpThen run /mcp auth radical-tempo inside a session and sign in. Keep
--transport http: without it, Gemini CLI adds the URL as a local command and
cannot sign in.
Cursor
The link opens Cursor and adds the server. To add it by hand instead, put this
in mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"radical-tempo": {
"url": "https://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcp"
}
}
}VS Code
Add this to .vscode/mcp.json, or run MCP: Add Server from the Command
Palette:
{
"servers": {
"radical-tempo": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcp"
}
}
}Other tools
A tool that accepts a remote server URL takes https://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcp
as shown for Cursor. A tool that only runs a local command can reach the server
through mcp-remote:
{
"mcpServers": {
"radical-tempo": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://mcp.radicaltempo.com/mcp"]
}
}
}What the sign-in grants
- Your brands. The tool sees the brands you can open in Radical Tempo, and no others.
- Your permissions. Every read and write runs as you, with the same permissions you have in the app. The tool cannot reach a video, a post, or a label you cannot.
- An approval before anything is sent. Publishing always proposes first. The tool shows you the post, the platforms, and the time. In a tool that shows an approval card or a confirmation dialog, your answer there is what sends the post. In a tool that shows neither, the AI describes the proposal in the chat and is told to wait for your answer, so the safeguard there is the AI following that instruction.
Try these prompts
- "Which of my videos has the highest content score?"
- "Make clips from my latest upload."
- "Make a 9:16 version of this clip for TikTok."
- "Generate cover options for this post."
- "Schedule this clip for Friday at 9am on TikTok."
- "Why did viewers drop off at 0:40?"
Name the brand in the prompt when you belong to more than one, or let the tool ask which brand you mean.
FAQ
Can I use more than one brand?
Yes. One sign-in covers every brand you belong to. Name the brand in your prompt, or the tool asks which one you mean.
How do I sign in again?
When the tool reports that it is signed out or that a request was refused, reconnect it:
- Claude: open Customize > Connectors and click Connect on Radical Tempo.
- Claude Code: run
/mcpand choose Radical Tempo. - Codex: run
codex mcp login radical-tempo. - Gemini CLI: run
/mcp auth radical-tempo. - ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, and others: remove the server and add it again with the steps above.
Is there a read-only connection?
No. Every connection can do what you can do in the app. Publishing still proposes first and asks before a post goes out; "What the sign-in grants" says how strong that ask is in each tool.
Where do I report a problem?
Email support@radicaltempo.com with the tool you use, the prompt you typed, and what the tool answered.
